DISCOVER YOUR TRUE NORTH
A solo cycling adventure story from south to north of peninsular Malaysia. The journey takes 12 days as far as 944KM.

This idea came after the effect I experienced due to the offer of unpaid leave by the company after cutting my salary almost to half percent due to the effects of covid19 pandemic. This pandemic led to the temporary closure of the aviation industry sector which forced employers to take follow-up action to ensure the company's continued viability. To take advantage of the free time, I decided to do this trip after consideration of learning process and understanding a little bit about this exploration from a little reading and experience from others.
This trip takes 12 days as far as 944KM. This trip will cross a total of 8 states starting in the states of Johor, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Selangor, Perak, Penang, Kedah and Perlis. For your information, the state of Johor is where I work while the state of Perlis is my village. The expected costs that have been identify are the cost of accommodation, meals, emergencies such as bicycle damage or robbery.
The bicycle that will be used for this trip is the mountain bike Merida Big 7. I had it since 2014. I made some modifications to allow me to carry some necessities along the way.
There are some things that have been analyzed that worry me such as robbery, running out of money, bicycle damage, illness, weather, wrong road and weather. This matter has been discussed and studied with experienced people and I choose to proceed because of the high curiosity factor as my life experience.
For me, curiosity is a good feeling as a learning process in human life. The most effective way to understand about something is to experience it by ourselves. Human is the leader of themselves. A leader must train to be firm and brave to make good decisions for themselves while providing useful benefits to others.
This campaign is seen to give me new experiences while teaching me to learn new knowledge such as life survival, determining the level of physical and mental endurance, chilling with friends on social media, sparking new ideas, and unique alternatives to return hometown through different way.
